History of Nike Air

2 03 2010

To be passionate about anything – an object, an idea – is to understand its origin, to fully immerse your being in its history and present state to the point of absolute, unrestricted comprehension. Nike Air is a concept rooted in the fundamental laws of science; air won’t flatten or disappear, nor will it tear or change its composition. Nike Air serves as the metaphorical pen that rewrote history; it is the result of harnessing the most vital element of life known to man into a midsole cushioning system that revolutionized the footwear industry and sport of running over the course of three storied decades. Kim Yu-Na x Nike Sportswear – N98 Jacket + Commemorative Pack

2 03 2010

Figure-skating is hardly a Korean past-time, but it damn sure will become one soon. National sweetheart Kim Yu Na won the gold in dominating fashion during the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, BC and Nike, as they customarily do with premier athletes, gave props where it was due released a great Nike Sportswear N98 Jacket alongside a nice collection of visuals.

Nike’s been cultivating the sneaker sub-culture in Korea for quite some time and Nike Sportswear is slowly gaining prominence in the metro-dominated fashion scene. Moonlight Bride: Myths – Album Review

2 03 2010

After a bunch of previewing on a number of indie-based outlets, Moonlight Bride debuted their latest album in October of 2009. Check them out if you get a chance; listen to samples directly from the Moonlight Bride myspace page. Read more to check out a cool video of a live performance.

Castle: Have Princess, Need Dragon

28 02 2010

I’ve grown accustomed to the new ABC drama or the riveting tale of deception illustrated by 60 Minutes. Simply put, my options are slim. ‘Castle’ was a heavily pushed ABC cop-drama that starred two relative unknowns in the industry; Nathan Fillion of Firefly fame and Stana Katic, a statuesque model-type who does fairly well in a detective persona. I watched every episode since the pilot and while I enjoy the show (simply because i’ve nurtured it since inception), it’s definitely missing something. Read on for a full review and pics of the cast.
